I have been designing, hand crafting, and selling wearable art for over twenty-five years, but I like to think of myself as a teacher first and then a metalsmith artist. I initially learned metalsmithing from the Loney Sisters, Anna and Jan. They not only showed me the basics but were excellent teachers as well. Through the years I have, in turn, helped several students launch successful careers in jewelry art. But I find equally fulfilling working with students who come to my classes seeking diversion, relaxation, or simply to fulfill the need to create something beautiful. I love what I do. And in the end, isn’t effective teaching an end in itself?
